PIŠKOTKI & ZASEBNOST
Bad Radkersburg (Radgona), a town in the south-eastern part of Austrian Styria, lies on the Mura River. The sunny town of Bad Radkersburg gets as many as 1,930 hours of sunlight each year.
In the main square, the town hall with its Gothic tower is surrounded by three-storey buildings that used to belong to rich merchants and nobility. Across from the town hall one can find Pistor House, one of the oldest houses in the town; the basement features valuable frescos by painter Johannes Aquila of Radgona. The town, which is great for romantic walks, is well-known for its thermal mineral water.
If you are in the area, a visit to Cmurek Castle is a must, or, alternatively, you can visit a floating mill on the Mura River – one of the last preserved mills of its kind in central Europe. Not far from there, in Bad Gleichenberg, visit the amazing Styrassic Park, with more than 80 life-sized sculptures of dinosaurs – great fun for children. Head to the Murturm lookout tower on the Mura River in Gosdorf and Klöch Hill, which is of volcanic origin. Less than 10 km into Austria from the border lies the idyllic landscape of Thermen- & Vulkanland, with its thermal springs, cuisine and wine. In Riegersburg, not far from the local castle, you will find the famous Zotter chocolate factory.
